How to Spend Three Days in Amalfi Coast

How to Spend Three Days in Amalfi Coast

Day 1: Arrival to Amalfi Coast

We arrived to Praiano around 1:30 pm after a morning spent in Pompeii. We did hire a private driver that was booked through a company called DayTrip. It was amazing because they picked us up from our hotel in Naples and drove us to Pompeii where they waited for us while we did the ruins and held our luggage in the car. Once we were finish they drove us directly to our hotel. We checked in to the Tramonto D’oro Hotel right in the heart of Praiano. The views were insane and the service was family and perfection!

Let me also say we went the first week of October and it was perfection! Amalfi Coast closes down middle of October for season so we were there at the end but everything was still open and amazing! I think this will be the time of year we always go to visit!

Lunch in Positano

I was able to message the hotel directly the day prior so that we could set up a water taxi from the coast line which is called la gavitella, that would take us to our reservation for a late lunch. This restaurant is only accessible by boat. The restaurant was called Da Adolfo and I highly suggest making reservations. The water taxi was 55 Euros to take four passengers to the restaurant. We drank two bottles of prosecco, limoncello, desert, appetizers, pasta and just LIVED. We collected sea glass on the beach and easily reached back out to our water taxi to return back to Praiano.

Cafe Mirante is located half between the beach of Praiano (La Gavitella) and Tramonto d’ Oro hotel! We stopped here to watch the sunset and were truly blown away by the views. We had prosecco and espresso martinis and we were not disappointed by yet another amazing sunset experience. If you are staying in Praiano this is must visit spot!!!!

Day 2: Boat Day along the Amalfi Coast

DO NOT SKIP this excursion. If I can influence you to do anything while visiting the Amalfi Coast it would be to book this excursion. We booked with Barbara Positano and when I say that this was one of the best days of my life I am not lying. The experience, the views, the food, the service, every single detail was perfection! It was worth every single penny!

Our boat tour took us out around Capri, into caves, jumping in to the water and we were even able to swim to the beach and collect fun rocks/shells. Our boat captian Francesco was incredible and so knowledgeable about everything. We were served fresh fruit, fresh bruschetta, champage and MORE! When I say best day ever I genuinely mean that!

We stopped for lunch @ La Conca del Sogno which apparently is Jerry Jones favorite restaurant and he rents out the entire place for his birthday every year.

Day 3: Praiano

The driving scene in Amalfi is literally insane and not for the faint of heart. We had ventured to Positano the night before and felt like we could do our shopping in Praiano and that is just what we did! Our front desk gave us some recommendations and we were able to order and ship our souvenirs home. You do have to pay for shipping but it guarantees your glassware all makes it home safely and not take up space in your bag. We went to La Bacheca Amalfi Coast Ceramics to purchase most of souvenirs. Walking through Praiano can be a bit dangerous so please be aware of your surroundings. The store we ventured into was the Ceramiche Da Mario. They also sold ceramics and we ordered from them as well. So like I said you can find most of the sourvenirs you are looking for very close to the hotel in Praiano.

One of the stores we stopped at was for linen shopping and it was called Blue Positano. They have a location in Positano as well as Praiano. The shop owner was so amazing. It was the end the season while we were visiting so have gave us special discounts and let us know that if he didn’t have size that the Positano location would have it.

I am obsessed with Praiano and love how everyone knows everyone!

We grabbed lunch back at our hotel on the rooftop cafe to just lay low. It was nice to be able to enjoy amazing quality food right in the comfort of our hotel. I had the club sandwich and french fries and it was what dreams are made of!

Our hotel was able to reserve our chairs at the One Fire Beach Club for 60 euro per person for the sunbeds. They have a good menu with fresh fruit! The drinks are on the pricier side so be prepared for that. But the views and vibes are EVERYTHING! You will want to have a day at one of these beach clubs wherever you stay along the amalfi coast! If you aren’t staying in Praiano but want to go to the one fire beach club you can have your hotel get you a water taxi to go to this exact one!

The Last Supper: Amalfi Coast

Our final dinner was @ La Cucina del Tramonto d’Oro which is the restaurant within our hotel. The service, ambiance and food was incredible. We were so blessed with amazing hospitality at the Tramonto d’Oro that I would recommend to any and everyone and I will be back. Between the conceirge, location, service, and just the quality of the hotel I will forever be loyal to this place!

The morning of our departure conceirge set up our drive to pick us up and drive us to Salerno Train station which then took us to Rome. The hotel packed us breakfast for our journey and it was so hard to say goodbye! The service here was beyond and I can’t believe we had the oppourtunity to stay here.

Just a heads up we booked our train tickets on the Trainline app so I always recommned downloading this app prior to travel in Europe. It makes booking tickets super easy and convenient.

If you have any other questions regarding my amazing 3 days in Amalfi Coast please do not hesitate to reach out! I was blessed with an incredible experience and will be back again and again!
