Top Newborn Baby Products

When I sat down to write this blog post I wanted my husbands input on the matter. We are 50/50 when it comes to caring for our sweet baby. So he picked his top 5 and I picked my top 5. You will find them below!.

My friend Kellse told me about the Hatch Rest and she heard amazing things. I immediately purchased in hopes that it would last me for a long time. We are 10 months in and we use the Hatch every single night. You are able to control it from an app on on your phone. We take it everywhere we go and I have debated buying one for my room even.

My husbands favorite newborn product was the Blooming Bath. He had never even changed a diaper before we had Elliott therefore this pad for the sink was super helpful in helping him learn how to give a bath to a newborn. We used this for the first three months of life and it was a game changer for us. We felt so comfortable giving Elliott a bath in the sink.

When we researched the perfect car seat stroller combo most of my friends all had the britax car seat and also ended up getting a Bobs Stroller. We registered for the infant seat, stroller, base and infant seat attachment and received it as a gift. The stroller is bulkier but we live in the country so this stroller is perfect for the backroads. It is heavier but easy to breakdown and we like to walk and I run from time to time so it is perfect for all of those things. I have a 5 year old nephew and he also fits in this stroller. All of these were added bonuses. When spending an arm and a leg on a baby product you want to be able to use it for as long as possible.

We were told about the Nested Bean Sleep Swaddle from a close friend when we were having a hard time getting E to sleep well. We tried this out and never looked back.

I know there are a lot of debates regarding the Dock a Tot but this c-section mom NEEDED it. It was so helpful to place Elliott in bed next to me lying in it. It was a life saver and he was always closely monitored.

If you plan to breastfeed and will be pumping frequently YOU NEED A HANDS FREE PUMPING BRA! This is the bra I used and it worked well for me. However, they sell a nursing/pumping bra in one that I will buy IF we have another baby. It is on pricier side but convenience and ease with a newborn is worth every penny to me.

If you know me or if you don’t know me here is a tidbit—I am allllll about things that are easy or that make my life easier. My mom told me I was crazy for registering for the 4moms pack n play until she used it. It is seriously a game changer. It came with a changing area as well as a newborn “sleep” area. You can put this pack n play together with ONE FINGER! Literally one finger! When I have to use a pack n play that is not mine I can never figure it out. This item is worth the splurge!

We chose to go with the ComoTomo bottles that were our best friends. I had done a ton of research but these were a game changer for us. I highly suggest buying the starter kit! The starter kit was not available when we purchased but it has multiple sizes and the different nipples.

A lot of people recently have asked me about the 4moms Mamaroo Swing. Elliott was a touch needy and loved to be snuggled and that is what we did. So to be honest he collectively probably used ours about 2 hours total. But here are the reasons why I loved it. You could easily zip off the canvas portion and toss in the washer. The base could easily be wiped down with lysol wipes. It was not a complete eye sore in my living room. As a former NICU/CVICU/PICU/float nurse we used this item frequently and I loved it!

Let me know if you all have any questions!
