Five TIPS To Get Organized for 2023!!!

Five TIPS To Get Organized for 2023!!!

Sooooooo— YES I AM IN FLORIDA AND ON VACATION! Also yes I am recycling this blog post from last year because IT STILL WORKS! BUT my mind is thinking about how I can better organized my life to kick of 2023. The worst part of traveling right after Christmas is knowing your house is in shambles and that is what you are walking into! HOWEVER!!!! I have a game plan and I am so excited to implement this when I walk in the door! I have resolutions for the new year but that is nor here nor there and I want to work on those matters privately. But I am totally comfortable sharing my FIVE tips to get organized for 2022!

#1 Declutter the Christmas decorations and presents

Packing up your Christmas décor—well this is what I am doing! If I didn’t put it out this year and it has ZERO sentimental value, I am donating it or selling it! If I didn’t miss it this year, I won’t miss it next year! IT’S GONE!

Putting away gifts/toys: For every new item of clothing, you got get rid of something old. For every new toy your kiddos got pick 4 or 5 to get rid of!

RECYCLE THAT CARDBOARD! If you are like me start breaking down those boxes and load the car up and DISPOSE of it ALLLLL properly! DECLUTTER YOUR GARAGE and house of cardboard boxes! If you live in Southern Illinois there is a great recycling center in Carterville called Progress Port! They employ neurodiverse adults that may have issues being employed elsewhere! It’s an amazing place!

I have boxes ready to go to START filling in order to donate all the things I do not need or want in my house!

While you have the donation boxes out now is the time to start grabbing the stuff you haven’t used or worn in the last year! DITCH THE JUNK!

#2 Are we getting fit? Because that is a huge goal for me both mentally and physically! We are working on our mental fitness as well this year. Organization is huge with this! I focused on showing up in 2022 and going to the gym and NOT giving up! I want to continue doing that moving in to 2023!

MEAL PLANNING: This one will be huge for me. Every week on Thursday or Friday I will take a quick peek at my meal guides with Faster Way—write out my meals, then order my groceries! If you aren’t using grocery pick up to simplify your life you are doing it wrong. One of my favorite things I use for meal planning and looking forward is the monthly meal planner Paige Koupal sent out a few years ago. I still use that monthly calendar and use my recipes/ plug in the food that is in the pantry already into the calendar.

SCHEDULE your work outs! Get them done early or KNOW you will be doing them after work! These are all real things that I have to do. I LEGIT write my works out on calendar and time and on my to do list. THIS IS HOW I MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Alright we have scheduled our workouts! Now lets schedule therapy sessions, meditation and journaling time so we can be alone with our thoughts, work through them and FEEL the feels.

#3: Clean out the fridge. Start fresh. The leftovers, the junk, the candy the shit you don’t normally buy THROW IT IN THE TRASH! We don’t need that negative energy in our life!

#4: Did you receive food gift cards for Christmas???? Well, refer back to #2 meal planning—plug these gift cards into your meal planning. Plan a date night with them. Don’t let these guys go to waste! This sounds ridiculous I know but what better way to be fiscally responsible than to spend the FREE money you were gifted

#5: Set a timer for about 20 minutes—get as much put away/organized as possible and then move on with your day. 20 minute increments make it doable. The blogger trick—set up a time lapse video and then watch how quickly you do a task! YOU GOT THIS!
